Fall Embossed Leaves Socks

I finished 'em! And I love them. Okay, so, these are kind of goofy pictures but of all the ones I took they showed off the socks and pattern the best.

I'm happy with how the contrasting colored toes, heels and cuffs worked out.

My comments on this pattern/project: First off, make sure you cast on loosely!! This is crucial, trust me. I used one size larger needle for this too.

Also, I did fewer rows of the ribbing to shorten that a bit, and I also did one less repeat of the pattern stitch (in the leg) since I was finding them too long for me. This length is perfect.

Specs on this project:

Pattern: Embossed Leaves Socks from Favorite Socks
Needles used: Size 2 DPNs
Yarn: Knit Picks Essential Solid
Color: Pumpkin, Burgundy and Cocoa
Started: 9/12/07
Finished: 3/22/08

The socks are terrific! I'm sure you are glad to have them off the needle and able to move onto the next project.

I *heart* hotchpotch socks! The burgundy and red are striking, and the cocoa...mmmm, cocoa. Gotta go make myself some, as it's a little colder and overcast today. Congrats on finished 'leaves, fer yer feet' socks. What's on needles now? C
